- Lie back and look at a wide patch of sky. No telescope needed.
- Give your eyes 20 minutes to adjust, and avoid looking at your phone.
- The hours after midnight are usually best.
- Seen a really bright fireball? Note the time, direction and how long it lasted, and report it to a fireball network. Reports from many people help find meteorites.
