My Moon diary

Draw the Moon every clear night. Print it out, or ask a grown-up to print it for you.

Each clear evening, look for the Moon with a grown-up.
Shade in the dark part of the circle, so the white part matches the Moon's shape.
Write the date under the circle. On cloudy nights, write 'cloudy'.
After a month, look at how the shape grew and shrank.

True fact: The Moon goes through all its shapes in about 29 and a half days.
